THE IN-BETWEEN | tHE WHITE DESERT
The White Desert exists on the longest timeline; a thousand years, or thousands of years. Where wind erosion will gradually wear away at monolithic blocks arrayed in a close-knit field condition. Each block is made of two similar but distinct materials; the soft stone that is native to the desert and a harder, denser stone that sits atop. A difference in material ratio of each large scale block determines the types of spaces that shear, carve, collapse, and erode.

Variations in material ratios of hard and soft stone give way to a multitude of possible spatial outcomes as masses begin to shift, shear, erode and amass. Along the thousand year timeline, one generation may call the COVE home while another finds their place within the INLET.
